Werkneh, a young boy from Ethiopia, stayed in Malibu with a host family while Mending Kids provided him with life-changing surgeries, removing 10-pound tumors from his hands. Werkneh flew in from Ethiopia for 2nd Annual 'Hometown Mission' party. This event celebrates and honors the 7 surgeons and 8 anesthesiologists who provide surgeries with Mending Kids International during the local Los Angeles 2013 'Hometown Mission" - last year's mission provided 19 surgeries to 18 patients. This year's 'Hometown Mission' takes place on August 2, 2014 at the Speciality Surgical Center of Beverly Hills.
