Hi People! The word on the street is that our geo-tagged map will be visible by mid-week (next week). With that in mind and the ever-present anticipation of seeing your work, I am just singing my Upload song. "Upload now, upload now, everyone wishes for a your visual kapow?" Alright, that is truly awful, so I'll keep working on the lyrics, if you hang around with our uploader...

Always great to see those associated with the project getting positive attention around the community and on Colorado Public Radio!
Wow?! Are we really on the other side of April 26th? These last couple of months have been filled with thoughts of how Denver could be captured and the appreciation of this incredible process. It turns out, that being here on the other side of the event day feels much the same in that I am STILL aflutter with thoughts of our community, but now they are tempered by an overwhelming desire to see what you have gone out and recorded for the ages! Thank you for being a part of this event not only in preparation and yesterday, but as we move forward and share with the greater community what has occurred. HOORAY FOR DENVER!
This is a great opportunity to play on the eventual soundtrack of our series.
One Day On Earth has a history of incorporating music recorded on the day of our filming events into our final films. Please watch the samples and read the directions below to figure out how to participate in this unique collaboration. Here is some important information on how to participate:
- People in all 11 cities will be participating. If you can record in a recognizable place, it will enhance the visual effect of the edit (not required).
- Professional video equipment is not required. We suggest focusing on getting good audio levels as this is about the music first!
- If you can, record instruments separately.
- Use headphones! We don't want to hear your guide tracks ;-)
- Upload your video submissions of your best takes after the shoot date. Make sure you tag your video as "Music"
- We will post all stems to Soundcloud so the mash-up is open to all who participate with credit.

Had a great time over at our media partner CPT12 last night for Tamara Banks's "Studio 12." The discussion largely focused on the community around the event and how your work will reflect neighborhoods and the incredible changes that are occurring in #Denver. #OneDayInDenver project Advisor Daniel Junge was a great advocate for the work being here and and having both Kyle Ruddick (co-founder/Director) and Brandon Litman (co-founder/Executive Producer) check in to share their excitement and vision was awesome! Catch one of the re-broadcasts: Wednesday, April 23 at 7:00 pm on Channel 12.1 AND Wednesday, April 30 at 7:00 pm on Channel 12.1
A synopsis of the event from Bree Davies at Westword. Much appreciated!
Time to celebrate all things #OneDayInDenver! Come join us over at the (new) Space Gallery located at 4th and Santa Fe Thursday, April 17th 5:30pm-7:30pm. There will be cocktails, conversation, question answering, high fives and inspiration throughout the room. Everyone is welcome; free and easy parking everywhere you look! The entrance is off the alley/parking lot. Come raise a glass to this incredible event to occur. REMEMBER: this is at 400 Santa Fe (not the old gallery space).
Watch the below and be inspired as you think about the pulse of our city. What will you film for the future of Denver?

One Day in Denver has been out exploring the town, learning about incredible organizations working magic around the city, and meeting people right here on our site and Facebook page who are readying to share with all of you their thoughts and passions. Not only is the groundswell of interest building, but so is the excitement for what will occur here on April 26th.
My name is Kristin, and I am your local Denver producer working with One Day on Earth to help you bring your thoughts for the future of our city, to the people of Denver.
And, when I think of Denver, it is hard not to think of its beauty. Our ambassadors, Thaddeus Anderson and Woody Roseland at Air Ball Creative have been garnering attention all over town (and beyond) for their work capturing Denver in a manner that harnesses the power of film. Take a few minutes to immerse in their video and welcome them to the Project. You can visit Air Ball Creative at their website: http://www.airballcreative.com/
One of the many things about which we are thankful over here at One Day in Denver is the involvement of Tony Shawcross as an advisor to the project. He is the Executive Director of the OPEN MEDIA FOUNDATION which works to create opportunity for everyone to represent their own voice in the media conversation. As our own event mission echoes this thinking, it's simply a perfect match.
Please join us over at Open Media Foundation THIS Friday, April 4 beginning at 6:30 p.m. to immerse in our One Day on Earth Project, ask questions and join the community examining the future of our city! The Adam Bodine Trio will be playing and I think there will even be free beer (but you didn't hear that here)!

On April 26th, 2014 - Thousands of filmmakers in cities across the country will participate in an historic day of media creation. Together we will create a document that investigates our American Cities - what we love about them; what we need to fix about them; and how we can come together to create a better metropolitan future.
